Musumeci was on cloud nine following the unanimous decision scored by heavyweight Derric Rossy over forty-something year old Ray Mercer at the Venetian in Macau, China last night. The judges scored it 117-111 (twice) and 115-113. Only knockdown in the fight was scored in the twelfth by Mercer. "I was off balance and he hit me," said Rossy, "my hat's off to this guy Ray Mercer could beat anybody in our division, he's tough and can hit like hell." When asked what was next? Rossy replied, "I'm open to anything, I really think my skills have reached the next level. We'll take all comers," said Musumeci who when asked about the possibility of a rematch with Eddie Chambers (who defeated Rossy then lost to Alex Povetkin. "If Eddie wants to do it again and the deal is right we'll listen, but I can assure you this it will not be the same as the last time I promise you that!"
