UPDATE: The IBF announced it will move forward with a pruse bid for a flyweight eliminator between Cristofer Rosales and Felix Alvarado, which has been scheduled for Thursday, March 23rd at 12:00PM Eastern Time. On January 12th, the IBF ordered Cristofer Rosales and Felix Alvarado to begin negotiations for an IBF flyweight eliminator. An agreement could not be reached within the time frame allowed by the IBF, so a purse bid was scheduled for March 23rd. Both men are from Nicaragua. Rosales is 35-6 and a former WBC champion. Alvarado is 38-3 and a former IBF junior flyweight champion. The current IBF flyweight champion is Sunny Edwards of the United Kingdom.
