According to the Kyodo news agency, Mexico's Jonathan Rodriguez missed the 115-pound weight limit by more than six pounds, causing the cancellation of WBO champion Kosei Tanaka's scheduled title defense. Tanaka, a four-weight champion, was supposed to headline a world title triple-header. The other two title fights will go forward as scheduled: Japan's Junto Nakatani will defend his WBC bantamweight crown against Vincent Astrolabio of the Philippines, while Riku Kano and Anthony Olascuaga of the United States will vie for the vacant WBO flyweight title.
