The Liverpool native made it official through a press release, in which he thanked the fans and highlighted his satisfaction for having completed a successful career. Fielding was WBA regulart title holder at super middleweight, wining his title against Germany's Tyron Zeuge on July 14, 2018. He wisely cashed out imediately, getting a fight vs. boxing superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, to whom he lost by knockout in December of that same year. Fielding made his professional debut in 2010 and extended his career until February 2022. His record was 30 wins, 3 losses and 18 knockouts, fighting between super middleweight and light heavyweight.
