Roberto Duran stricken with coronavirus

Legendary multi-division champion Roberto Duran has been diagnosed with the coronavirus, reported USA Today based on an Instagram post by Duran's son Robin. Duran, age 69, is hospitalized in his native Panama. Duran was said to be suffering only cold-like symptoms, but his age, and a previous lung issue appear to be a concern. Perhaps the greatest living boxer, Duran holds a victory over the great Sugar Ray Leonard and won world titles from lightweight to middleweight. Duran fought professionally in five decades, retiring in 2001 with a professional record of 103-16.
