Risum Boxing signs 30 Georgian boxers

(That's Georgia as in the former Soviet Republic)

Press Release: Risum Boxing and Fight Production, headed by Henrik Risum and Olaf Schroeder, today announced the signing of "The Jomar Brothers," undefeated Georgian brothers Shalva and Levan Jomardashvili. 20-year-old Shalva, the reigning Georgian middleweight champion, has so far compiled a record of 23-0, while his younger sibling, light heavyweight Levan, is already 16-0 at just eighteen years of age. In the amateurs Shalva was a five-time Georgian national champion and went 75-3, and Levan compiled a 57-2 record on the way to capturing four national titles.  The immediate plan for the brothers is to give them more international experience with training-camps and fights outside Georgia. Risum makes it clear though, that especially young Levan needs time to develop further before being tested, saying: “At just eighteen, he has so many years in front of him, so we are absolutely in no hurry to push him too fast. But Shalva can hang with the best in Europe already now, I am sure of this, and in a year or two he could very well be one of the best prospects in the world. It’s going to be an exiting time for us all, and for Georgian professional boxing.” Schroeder and Risum also reveals that, besides the signing of the Jomar Brothers, their companies have also acquired exclusive agent rights to more than thirty boxers contracted to the Georgian Boxing Group, including 2000 Olympic heavyweight bronze medallist Vladimer Chanturia.
