After Boxing Comeback Fails, Bowe Tries Hand at Mixed Martial Arts

According to Sherdog, Riddick Bowe wants to be the first person to hold a boxing title and an MMA title at the same time.  That should already be considered a complete wash since Riddick Bowe has absolutely no shot at winning any piece of the heavyweight title.  In fact, it might even be criminal for a State Athletic Commission to approve Riddick Bowe actually boxing.  Given the well documented brain damage already suffered in the ring and his last fight in which he took a severe beating en route to a split decision win against a club fighter, Riddick Bowe is done in boxing.  Riddick Bowe now wants to try his hand at MMA.  Bowe stated, “I've been running, doing things as I was doing them in boxing.  I guess now all I have to do is get down with the ground work.  I'm going to be a little anxious and what have you, but I think as time progresses, I should pick it up like I pick everything else up."  Bowe has a tentative date scheduled for December 12th.  Who knows, maybe the street fighting internet legend turned MMA fighter Kimbo Slice needs another former heavyweight champion to beat up on.  Source: Sherdog
