Ricky Hatton KO's M'Baye lawsuit!

World junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton was dropped from a lawsuit between Souleymane M'baye and the WBA on Wednesday and there are now no impediments to Hatton's ability to stage his next fight in America. M'baye, the WBA mandatory contender, had asked a federal court in New York to bar Hatton, the WBA super champion, from taking a fight against anyone other than M'baye for his next bout. But after Hatton's attorney, Scott Shaffer, argued that an American court was not the proper place for a dispute between M'baye, a Frenchman, and Hatton, an Englishman, M'baye's attorney Judd Burstein withdrew the complaint. Shaffer then asked the judge to release Hatton from the case, and the judge granted that request.  The case coninued between M'baye and the WBA on M'baye's claims he has been denied a title shot. Meanwhile, Hatton tesitifed briefly as a witness and boarded a plane home to Manchester. He hopes to fight again in May. REMEMBER WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST! 8:00 PM EST
