Edited Press Release:  As Boxingtalk previously reported, Miguel Cotto will defend his WBO belt against undefeated but untested Ricardo Torres of Colombia, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday, September 24, 2005. Cotto, from Caguas, Puerto Rico, has a record of 24-0 with 20 knockouts. Torres is 28-0 with 26 knockouts. He is rated #1 by the WBO.  This will be the fourth world title defense for Cotto, a 2000 Olympian from Puerto Rico and the 2004 Puerto Rico Fighter of the Year.  Cotto was initially scheduled to fight Gianluca Branco, but he was injured during training. The show will also feature Wladimir Klitschko vs. Samuel Peter and will be televised by HBO.
