Moments ago Diego Corrales promoter Gary Shaw informed Boxingtalk that lightweight king Diego Corrales has been forced to withdraw from his aniticipated February 4 rubbermatch with Diego Corrales. When did Shaw first hear of the news and what was his reaction? "I learned of the injury a couple of days ago. He was going to try to work through it. My first reaction was for his health. I felt that it he wasn't 100% this was too tough of a fight. Diego being the warrior he is, told me he was going to fight through it and go through with the fight. Then yesterday I got a call that he couldn't even run so he had to pull out. I feel sick to my stomach."  Shaw also said he was discussing a future date for the bout with Showtime and no replacements for Feb. 4 have been solidified as this goes to print.
