Roy Jones's Knockout Boxing Promotions promoted a boxing show at the Bella Aida Gardens in West Houston, Texas on Thursday. Junior welterweight Danny Reyes, 16-12-1, continued his losing streak, dropping a split decision against Mikel Williams, reportedly 6-17-4. One judge scored it for Reyes 58-56, but was overruled by two 59-55 scores in favor of the visiting Williams. Veteran Andrew Greeley took a step back towards the .500 mark with a four-round majority decision win over Billy "3rd Ward" Willis, 7-9-1. Greeley, 12-14-2 won the battle of two small heavyweights by scores of 40-36 (twice) and 38-38. In other results,  Jose "Topita" Gutierrez, 9-3, knocked out Jerrick Stephens, 1-6, in the first round; Eric Lindsey, 3-8, floored Maurenzo "T-Diddy" Smith, 5-1, and went on to win a four-round decision; Eleazar "Pelon" Renteria, 5-0 stopped Joshua Lyons, 0-2, in the second round; Scottie Rossum, 8-2, swept the scorecards against Charles Spear, 4-7, over four rounds; and Cory Stephens, 2-1, edged Jerron Lockette, 1-5-2 by  four-round majority decision.
