Chris Kongo W6 John Henry Mosquera... Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury II doesn't happen for a few more days, but the action has already begun in the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as five fights took place on Wednesday. Headlined by Chris Kongo's points victory over John Henry Mosquera (5-21-1) of Colombia. Wednesday's event served to whet the appetites of boxing fans ahead of Saturday's massive card. Kongo, in action for the third time this year, improved to 17-2 after topping Mosquera in a six-round junior middleweight bout. The 31 year-old Kongo was in control from the opening bell, keeping his opponent moving throughout the fight. Kongo never seemed troubled by his Colombian opponent, and in the fourth round the Briton inflicted a cut over Mosquera's right eye that could have spelled doom for the 22-year-old, but Mosquera dealt with the laceration well despite being second-best from beginning to end. The fight ultimately went the distance despite Mosquera's injury, and Kongo had his hand raised by referee Bob Williams, who scored the bout 60-54 in favor of the victor.
