On Saturday July 19, 2008, Sparks Pro-Boxing Promotions promoted a show in Nairobi, Kenya, sanctioned by the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission. In the eight-round main event local favorite Anthony Napunyi captured a unanimous decision at super bantamweight over Tanzanian import Anthony Mathias. Napunyi improved to 12-4, and it should be noticed that he lost his first three professional bouts. Mathias is now 21-10.  Undercard... Unbeaten “Jesse” James Kimori outclassed the durable Ken Oyolo for a unanimous six round decision in a bout contested at junior middle. Kimori floored Oyolo twice along the way,and is now 9-0. Oyolo falls to a reported 7-14-3...  Welterweight prospect Kennedy Muiruri went to 2-0 with a unanimous verdict over six rounds against former national welterweight champion George Owano, 7-7. Owano was clearly outworked... At lightweight, Ibrahim Odhiambo won his professional debut with a decision after four rounds over Stephen Nyakina, 1-6.
