Heavyweight Ray Austin won a split decision over Owen Beck.  Ausitn (Boxingtalk #33) defeated Beck (Boxingtalk unrated) by scores of 115-113, 113-115 and 117-111... Steve Cunningham (Boxingtalk's #7 cruiserweight) has defeated yet another top cruiserweight contender. This time the undefeated Philadelphian decisioned ex-titlist Kelvin Davis (Boxingtalk #13) by scores of 117-111 (twice) and 118-110. Despite the one-sided scoring, it was a competitive fight. Davis took the fight on about a week's notice. Cunningham is now 18-0... Former bantamweight champion Tim Austin won his first bout after a two and a half year layoff. Fighting at 124 pounds, Austin stopped Reynaldo Hurtado by technical knockout in the fifth round... Little-known but undefeated heavyweight Donnell Holmes moved up to 23-0-1 with an eighth-round stoppage of Stacy "Big Foot" Frazier.  Now 14-4, Frazier represented Holmes' toughest challenge to date... Elio Ortiz, a former Dominican amateur star, improved to 14-0 with a decision over veteran Marty Robbins in a featherweight bout.
