Cuban amateur champ improves to 3-0 as pro

Erislandy Lara TKO1 Rodrigo Aguilar... Erislandy Lara (3-0) stopped Rodrigo Aguilar (5-4) just before the end of the first round.  With a raucous pro-Cuban crowd behind him, the former world amateur champ who twice fled Cuba kept landing body shots and overhands to Aguilar.  Aguilar had a few seconds where he landed a some shots on Lara, but overall he was overmatched and was knocked down by a Lara one-two at the 2:59 mark of the first round.  Referee Joe Cortez stopped the fight after Aguilar barely got back on his feet.

Jonte T. Willis W4 Alvaro Morales... Heavyweight Jonte Thomas Willis (4-0) won a decision over Alvaro Morales (3-3).  Willits started out strong in the first round but appeared to hurt his wrist in the second, which cost him the round.  That was the only round Morales received on the official scorecards, but the bout appeared to be closer than the trio of 39-37 scorecards.

Johnny Frazier TKO2 Joel Gonzalez...Welterweight Johnny Frazier improved to 2-0 by defeating Joel Gonzalez (2-2 1 KO) via technical knockout at the 2:26 mark of round two.  Joel Gonzalez was never ws really in the fight and was eating punches until he quit, ceding Frazier the TKO win.
