Rest In Peace Julian Letterlough

Boxer Julian Letterlough was murdered in Reading, Pennsylvania on Thursday. According to local newspaper the Reading Eagle, Letterlough was shot and killed on a local street.  Letterlough spent several years in prison but turned his life around through boxing. His 2001 loss to Julio Gonzalez was a thriller that will be remembered by every boxing fan who saw it. He later lost a title shot to Vassiliy Jirov at cruiserweight. His trainer, Marshall Kauffman, told writer Thomas Gerbasi, "He was a great individual, very articulate, and a man, who, when he fought, laid it all out in the ring, and he did the same thing in life." Boxingtalk sends its heartfelt condolences to Letterlough's wife, son, and his family and friends. He was 35 years old.
