UKAD, the United Kingdom Anti-Doping organization received information regarding the death of Mexican flyweight Moises Calleros. UKAD says it received this information shortly after publishing details of the outcome from a doping case concerning Calleros. UKAD stated, "Unfortunately, UKAD had no information regarding Mr. Calleros’ sad passing at the time of publication and has now removed all details of this case from its channels." Calleros compiled a record oif 37-11-1 in a career that spanned 2008-2023. He lost two world title bids: a 105-pound opportunity vs. Ryuya Yamanaka in 2018 and a 112-pound shot vs. Julio Cesar Martinez in 2020. Calleros' only fight outside of his native Mexico was a fourth-round stoppage loss to Galal Yafai in 2023. It was that fight that gave UKAD the reason to drug test Calleros.
