Tom Moran: Kassim would love to fight Mosley-Wright Winner, Vernon Forrest or possibly De La Hoya!
Despite another website reporting that a fight between IBF Pan Pacific Jr. Middleweight title holder Shannan Taylor 40-3-2(26) and newly crowned IBF champion Kassim Ouma is in the works it’s something that hasn’t been discussed with two key players in the decision making process. Both Ouma and his manager Tom Moran were unaware of the supposed negotiations. “Its news to me” said Moran when informed of the report. “Kassim just got his new IBF title belt FedExed to him today, and we absolutely have not had any discussions at all. I don’t know where they have heard that, we haven’t had any talks about that with Russell Peltz our promoter, and he certainly hasn’t talked to me about it, and I haven’t talked to Kassim about it which is the way the process would work.” Moran continued “Kassim would love to fight Shane, Winky, Vernon Forrest or any of those guys, but a fight with Taylor is not even on the immediate think about list.” Stay tuned for more details on the new IBF champ’s future plans.
