According to New York's Daily News, MMA fighter Justin Thornton has died after weeks in the hospital following a KO loss in a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in late August. Sources list the fatal fight as a nineteen-second loss to Dillon Cleckler on August 20th. The fight ended when Thronton fell face-first to the canvas with a violent crash. However, there may also have been subsequent complications contributing to the death, with Cleckler posting on social media that Thornton had pneumonia. Thornton's MMA record was listed as 6-18.
