Boxing manager Mike Cameron, who guides the career of Vedo [a/k/a Vaughn] Alexander, says his man will fight on the Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia undercard next week. Cameron posted on social media: "Change of plans. Vedo Alexander will no longer be fighting April 24th. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity, however a much bigger fight fell into our lap. We have signed it and are super excited-- April 20 th at Barclays Center [in Brooklyn, New York], on Haney vs. Garcia, it’s Vedo Alexander vs. Sergiy Derevyanchenko." Alexander frequently takes fights on short notice, and has an 18-10-1 record. Derevyanchenko, who had razor-thin losses in title fights vs. Gennadiy Golovkin and Danny Jacobs, and also a close loss to former champion Jaime Munguia, has a record of 37 wins and 6 losses, including the World Series of Boxing.
