ESPN reports that popular super middleweight Edgar Berlanga was arrested and charged with a a felony, aggravated battery. Berlanga in a native New Yorker with Puerto Rican roots but the arrest was made in Polk County, Florida's based on a incident that allegedly took place on October 18th. Berlanga's bail was set relatively low and he is due back in court on November 17th according to the report. No further details were immediately released. Berlanga has a 24-2 record, and his last fight was a July win over Steven Butler.
