Ratings for The Contender Improve

In a press release issued today, NBC noted that the March 20th episode of The Contender, which featured the return of Peter Manfredo Jr., and "a stirring tribute to fallen contender Najai Turpin", garnered improved ratings in its second week in the Sunday night time slot.  The ratings were up 30% from last week's  episode in the 18 to 49 demographic, and up 40% versus NBC's regular-program average in the time period prior to "The Contender".  The 3.5 rating is NBC's highest 18 to 49 rating in the time period with regular programming since Jan. 11, 2004. Since NBC is doing so well with the show, how about the network making a substantial donation to Najai Turpin's daughter or to Najai's second home, the James Shuler Memorial Gym in Philadelphia which helps keeps neighborhood kids off the streets?
