Randy Couture Quits UFC when Fedor Fight Falls Through

"I'm tired of being taken advantage of."

BREAKING NEWS: UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture has broken ranks with the UFC.  After coming out of retirement to win the UFC title, Couture was looking to fight Fedor Emelianenko, universally recognized as the #1 heavyweight in the world.  A statement released by Couture’s personal assistant stated: “Fedor Emelianenko was Randy's last great challenge and with that prospect gone, he feels he's accomplished all that he can in mixed martial arts.”  Earlier today, it was leaked that Fedor Emelianenko will sign with the Russian based MMA promoter, M-1, now known as M-1 Global.  Although the UFC is currently the strongest MMA promotional outfit, it might not be able to hold every single MMA star under one umbrella.  In boxing, multiple promoters battle for control, a scenario that might eventually be the fate of MMA. According to the Sherdog website, Couture said "I'm tired of being taken advantage of, played as the nice guy and basically swimming against the current with the management of the UFC." 5:00PM EST
