After advancing past the first round of the four-way box-off, the two heavyweight hopefuls now clash for the right to challenge IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. And even though he has just 14 professional fights to his name, Povetkin (14-0, 11 KOs) feels he is ready to become the next mandatory challenger. "I am just one step away from a world title fight - and I am determined to take this step against Chambers," the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner said. "Everything is possible in such an eliminator, especially in the heavyweight division. He is a strong opponent but I take him very seriously." Povetkin last clinched an eleventh-round TKO victory of Chris Byrd, while Chambers (30-0, 16 KOs) defeated Calvin Brock on points. Much to the delight of Sauerland Event managing director Chris Meyer, the final showdown between the two unbeaten fighters will be broadcasted by HBO.
