Post-fight reactions to world junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez's debatable decision win over Jamaine Ortiz on Thursday: World welterweight champion Terence Crawford, who has been mentioned as a future super fight opponent for Lopez, tweeted: "[He] talked all that sh*t about me and lost. Like I told him, focus on who you fighting, not me. Teofimo Lopez, back to the drawing board you go chump."

 

WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, who himself is coming off a criticized performance in a win: "That’s why I get paid what I get paid Teo. [Be]cause I get on the mic and be real. I don’t have to act for nobody.. And I’m not delusional. When you don’t do your best, admit it and work on it in the gym my guy."

 

Promoter Lou DiBella wrote: "What exactly did Teo do to win? Not that Ortiz shined ... certainly not offensively. But Ortiz imposed his will and executed a game plan. He won... not exciting and ugly, but I have Ortiz 7-5 and pretty clear I thought."

 

Even United States congresswoman Ilhan Omar chimed in: "I am so confused and frustrated. Did we all watch the same fight? #LopezOrtiz."
