In Albany, New York, middleweight Lenord Pierre stopped veteran Tony Marshall by seventh-round technical knockout. Pierre, coming off a no contest with Manning Galloway, improves to 17-1 while Marshall drops to 37-13-6 after many wars and needs to consider finding a new career.  Two local heavyweights won unanimous decisions on the same show: Shannon Miller, 12-1, came back from an ESPN2 knockout loss to Vinnie Maddalone with a points win over Harold Rodriguez, 6-16, while Gary Wilcox is now 2-0 as a heavyweight and 20-3-1 overall after defeating perennial loser Dennis McKinney.
