Petchyindee Boxing Promotions has announced a new WBC Flyweight challenger for Phongsaklek Krathingdeng Gym (Wonjongkam) in his next defense on October 8th at Arcadia Hilton Hotel, Phuket Province, Thailand. The first announcement reported that his opponent would be Diosdado "Prince" Gabi, who is curently the WBC International Flyweight Champ and No. 8 contender of the Phiippines. But the latest announcement was that the challenger has changed to WBC FECARBOX and Mexican Flyweight champ, Carlos Bouchan-Salazar from Pachuca, Mexico. Bouchan was the gold medalist in the Flyweight division of the Jr. Olympic International Invitational at Mexico City, Mexico in 1997. His pro debut was in 1999 and he carried his record to 13 wins (11KO) and 4 lossess. Bouchan captured the vacant WBC Fecarbox Flyweight title via a 6th round TKO over Ulises Cadena and won a 4th round TKO victory over Jonathan Gutierrez in his 1st defense. In his last fight, he captured the Mexican Flyweight belt by unanimous decision won over Alfredo Tirado.
