The Peterson brothers, Lamont and Anthony, continued to build their professional resumes with wins on a show in East Peoria, Illinois on Friday. Lamont stopped Omar Bernal in the seventh round while Anthony defeated trialhorse Armando Cordoba in a six-round decision. Also, undefeated lightweight Mike Gonzalez scored a second round knockout of Donnell Logan. Gonzalez has now won all of his eight professional bouts by knockouts. According to Gonzalez, "we spent the first round sort of feeling each other out, in the second I saw an opening when he didn't pull back his jab quick enough and I shot my right uppercut. Typically, I'm not a one punch KO fighter but this was a solid shot and it hurt him badly." The show was co-promoted by 8 Count Productions and Prize Fight. source: 8 Count Productions press release
