Press Release: If the rematch between Sam Peter and James Toney goes to a purse bid, Peter wants a 60/40 split in his favor. The WBC so far has ordered a 55/45 split in Peter's favor but said today it would consider Peter's request at its convention in Croatia. In the meantime, the parties have until October 31 to reach an agreement, and if they have not done so by them, a purse bid will be held. Peter and Toney fought earlier this month with Peter winning a decision that most, but not all, observers disagreed with.
