Perez-Ramirez added to DKP St. Louis show

Press Release: Don King formally announced his return to St. Louis' Savvis Center on September 30, 2005 with a fight card that includes three world championship matches. The third world title bout on the card will feature  IBF junior bantamweight champion Luis Perez will risk his belt by taking on Hugo “Rambo” Ramirez. Previously announced were Virgil Hill facing Valery Brudov for the vacant WBA regular cruiserweight title and WBO junior middleweight champion Daniel Santos defending his title against undefeated Joe Wyatt.  In his last contest, Perez knocked out No. 1-ranked mandatory contender Luis Bolano in the sixth round at Madison Square Garden on April 30, 2005. Ramirez (22-4, 16 KOs), from Reynosa, Mexico, stunned Arturo Davalos with a first-round knockout on July 29, 2005.  Ramirez’s career highlight came when he defeated former world champion Melchor Cob-Castro by unanimous decision in 2003.
