Press Release: In a rare appearance by a Philippine star in an American non-title bout, Gerry Penalosa (48-5-2, 33 KOs) will headline Friday Night Fights on June 10, 2005 at the National Guard Armory in Lynn, Massachusetts. Penalosa is rated #17 in the world by Boxingtalk at 115 pounds. The talented southpaw will face Colombian veteran Reynaldo Hurtado Arendo (36-6-1, 27 KOs), who unsuccessfully fought for the IBF bantamweight title in 1995, in the eight round main event. In the co-feature, Guatemalan featherweight Castulo “El Pubeioso” Gonzalez (4-0, 1 KO), now fighting out of Wilmington (MA), fights in a six-round match against Oscar De La Cruz (2-1, 1 KO) of Atlanta.
