Former international amateur standout Yevgeniy Pavlov (12-0) quickly dispatched of Colombia's Albeiro Paredes (14-3). Paredes entered the bout coming off two straight losses. From the opening bell, the Kazakh Pavlov established control with a sharp jab and punishing straight left hands to the body. Then, during a heated exchange less than a minute into the opening round, Pavlov landed a straight left hand to the jaw that sent Paredes crashing to the canvas. Paredes was unable to beat the count, giving Pavlov a spectacular first-round knockout victory. The victory marks Pavlov’s second win in just four months under the Jeter Promotions banner. With another dominant performance, he now sets his sights on re-entering the world rankings and continuing his march toward a championship opportunity.
