It's official - big, powerful, unbeaten middleweight Kelly 'The Ghost' Pavlik of Youngstown, Ohio will take on Bronco McKart of Monroe, Michigan in the featured bout on the first OLN Network fight card on Thursday, July 27. In the opening televised bout, 'The Messenger' - Anthony Thompson of Philadelphia - will face Mohammad Said of Newark, N.J. in a 10-round junior middleweight bout. Bob Arum of Top Rank made the announcement today. Pavlik, 27-0 with 24 KOs, vs McKart, 48-6 with 31 KOs, will be the main event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Pavlik will defend his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) middleweight title. The OLN telecast will begin at 9:00 pm eastern. "Right now I consider myself one of the three best middleweights in the world," said Pavlik, 24. He strikes with power and is rated WBC #2, WBA #3 and WBO #4 at 160 pounds. Pavlik is training in Youngstown. A caravan of buses, packed with Pavlik fans, will leave Youngstown and head to the Mohegan Sun on fight night.
