Bob Papa will replace Fran Charles as the play-by-play man on HBO Boxing After Dark telecasts.  Boxingtalk has been informed that HBO was unhappy with Fran's commentary, so in comes Papa to sign a three-year deal with the "Heart and Soul of Boxing." Boxingtalk has also been informed that Larry Merchant could be the next head to roll down Sixth Avenue as a reliable source informed us not to be surprised if he's "out" by the end of June.
