Panomroonglek KOs Ranada in seven

Flyweight Panomroonglek Kratingdaenggym, a rising star in Thailand, took a step towards becoming a world champion with a seventh-round knockout win over Filipino Allan Ranada on December 31, 2004 in Por Kung Phao Restaurant (Pinklao branch) in Bangkok, Thailand. Panomroonglek used an aggressive style to attack and then cut down his challenger's power starting in the third round. In the seventh, Panomroonglek pushed Ranada to the ropes and landed many devastating shots to drop his opponent outside the ring. Ranada tried to re-enter but he couldn't stand on his legs and internationally known referee Anek Hongtongkam completed his count.  Panomroonglek upgraded his record to 4-0.  He defended a regional 112-pound title and currently stands as the 20th rated contender in the WBC wins behind his gymmate,  Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Boxingtalk's #1 flyweight. On the same card, Boxingtalk's #25 strawweight, Oleydong Sithsamuechai scored an eight-round unanimous dicidion over Robert Rubillar from the Philippines, Boxingtalk's #27 bantamweight (and former WBC flyweight champion) Chatchai Singhwangcha (Sasakul) knocked out Saithong Sriprachan in two and also, Saphapetch Sor Sakaorat stopped Yodkhunsuek Sithnaenair in three.
