Panchito Bojado doubts Forbes goes the distance, targeting "motor mouth Malignaggi"

GL: How are things going in preparation for your September 15 showdown with Steve Forbes? "Training camp has been great. I've been getting ready for this fight before my last two fights. I've been in training camp for about two years now. The opportunity to fight on the September 15 card, fighting in Vegas being able to go up against somebody with the skill and credibility of Steve Forbes, this is my opportunity to go out there and take care of business. What you can expect from me is a clean fight. I'm not going to try hold back. I'm going to go out there and take care of business the way I should be. I'm just excited and I'm looking forward to it."

GL: What did you think about Forbes fight with Demetrius Hopkins? Did you think he won the fight?

Panchito Bojado: "I think it was a great performance for Steve Forbes and a lot of people, including myself, believe he won the fight. Maybe everyone thinks he won except the judges. He has credibility and he's been on a roll coming off of the show. And although it wasn't official he got the victory over Demetrius in the eyes of the fans and a lot of boxing experts. I'm just excited about the opportunity to go against him."

GL: What would a victory over Forbes mean to you? Also, it's cliche to ask if this fight is do or die, but in terms of you being taken seriously at the world class level is this a do or die fight for you?

PB: "This is more than do or die, there is no other way but me going out there to get that win no matter what it takes I'm going to go out there and take care of business. Beating this guy is going to take me to the next level, where I should have been a long time ago, the level people were expecting of me. This is opportunity I've been waiting for and it's do or die and there's no other way for me but coming out with the win no matter what it takes. Beating this guy will give me the ranking I should have and give me the chance to fight against other elite fighters. This is everything to me, I'm knocking on the door and now I'm just trying to step through it."

GL: Does this fight go the distance?

PB: "I'm prepared to go the distance, but every round is going to be a war. I'm going to go out there and show my boxing skills, my ability and my speed an power. If it goes the distance, which I doubt, because I'm going to be fighting as smart as I can and I'm going to be hitting as powerful as I can for every single round. I know he's going to come prepared but I doubt he goest the distance. And if it goes the distance I will be winning every single round."

GL: Are you hoping that a victory over Forbes gets you on HBO beyond those who purchase this PPV?

PB: "I'm just thankful for this opportunity and I'm going to make the most of this match-up. Whatever goes on after this W, will not only getting me to the level of being with HBO or any other top netwwork, it will enable me to call out some people that I want to fight like this chump from New York Paulie Malignaggi. I'm looking forward to the Forbes fight and then hopefully after this fight I can start looking in breaking his big motor mouth."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

PB: "I'm looking forward to September 15. This is the opportunity of a life time and the only thing standing between me and where I want to be is Steve Forbes. After that, there's plenty of names of names for me to look forward to."
