Paez saved by the bell

Jorge Paez, Jr. W4 Derrick Campos... Plain and simple, Jorge Paez, Jr. got lucky when he was saved by the final bell on the pay-per-view opener from Las Vegas. First, Paez dropped Derrick Campos in the second round of their junior welterweight bout, but got rocked by Campos just a few seconds later.  Then, with about ten seconds left in the four rounder, Campos dropped Paez hard. Paez beat the count but was clearly still dazed. However, the final bell sounded as Campos was stepping up to finish Paez off. Campas, 6-2 coming in, appeared to win the first round and Paez may have edged the third, so a draw seemed like the correct decision. However, Paez, 10-0 coming in, got the majority verdict, 38-38, 39-37 (twice),much to the displeasure of the crowd.  source: HBO PPVÂ
