Erik Morales likely next
Manny Pacquiao W12 Oscar Larios... On hallowed ground in the sport of boxing, Philippine idol Manny Pacquiao was hurt in the third round, but cut his opponent, Oscar Larios and earned a unanimous decision over Larios in Manila. Larios, a former 1122-pound champion, moved up to 130 for the opportunity to face Pacquiao, and a third-round left hook almost won him the fight. However, Pacquiao asserted control later in the third, opening a cut on Larios, and then knocking him down in the seventh and twelfth rounds. The final scores from the arena where Ali-Frazier III, aka the Thrila in Manila was held in the 19780s all favored Pacquiao: 120-106, 118-108 and 117-110. Next up for Pacquiao is a likely third bout with Erik Morales, with whom Pacquiao has split two bouts.Â
