Boxingtalk.com has contacted Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach to confirm rumors that Golden Boy Promotions has signed Pacquiao to a promotional deal. Roach said the deal is not official but that Oscar De La Hoya came by the gym yesterday and took Pacquiao to lunch, and things look pretty good. Roach also confirmed that Top Rank contacted him, and questioned him about the rumor as well. Roach told Boxingtalk that Pacquiao has been listening to all suitors, and would obviously make a decision based on who makes the best offer. Sources tell Boxingtalk that Golden Boy has offered a seven-fight package to Pacquiao, and that the offer was substantially higher than all other offers thus far.
