Manny Pacquiao scored a sensational eighth round knockout over Jorge Solis. Solis put forth a spirited effort, but Pacquiao's power eventually caught up to him and once it did, it didn't take Pacquiao long to finish the job. After Pacquiao was rocked in the sixth round an accidental clash of heads opened a cut on Pacquiao's right eye. Pacquiao was infuriated at the sight of his own blood and nearly stopped Solis in the sixth. In round eight Pacquiao dropped Solis with a right uppercut, Solis made to his feet at nine, but was quickly decked by a straight left hand that put him down for the ten count.  Official time of stoppage was 1:16 Source: Top Rank PPV
