Otis Grant to go under the knife

Super middleweight contender Otis Grant's remarkable comeback from a five-year retirement will have to be put on hold while the Canadian has surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle. A planned WBC eliminator against undefeated Librado Andrade has been put on hold, perhaps until March.  The 37-year-old Grant (38-2-1 and rated #8 by Boxingtalk) will have the operation Tuesday in Montreal and will miss six to eight weeks of training. He took five years off after getting stopped by Roy Jones, but has reeled off seven wins in a row against stiff competition.  Andrade is 22-0 and rated #12 by Boxingtalk. source: Associated Press
