On October 8th at Théâtre Capitole in Québec City, Cuban-born Osleys Iglesias will defend his IBF and IBO world titles against undefeated Oliver Zaren, a Danish southpaw. Zaren (19-0-1). Iglesias fights out of Quebec and is 17-1 including the World Series of Boxing. He defeated Pavel Silyagin in April to claim the IBF title that was vacated by Terence Crawford retirement.  Zaren's last fight was a June road trip to Spain, where he fought to a technical draw against Jose Luis Navarro Jr. with the vacant European title at stake. The outdoor fight was stopped due to a heavy rain storm. 

 

The October 8th co-feature is another super middleweight contest with undefeated Wilkens Mathieu facing former Iglesias victim Vladimir Shishkin (17-2). Also on the show, Leïla Beaudoin will make the first defense of her WBA interim junior lightweight title title, Dzmitry Asanau and Luis Santana will clash, with Imam Khataev, Thomas Chabot, Erik Israyelyan, Daylen Pepin and Jacob Blais also in action.
