Ortiz and Jacobs win uncompetitive bouts

Victor Ortiz TKO2 Jeff Resto: "Vicious" Victor Ortiz thoroughly dismantled former contender Jeffery Resto in less than two rounds on the De La Hoya-Pacquiao telecast. Ortiz twice dropped Resto, who opened the bout in a southpaw stance, with left hands in round one. Resto switched to an orthodox stance following the second knockdown and survived the round, but it was a futile effort as another couple of Ortiz flurries lead to a third knockdown and appropriate stoppage in the second round. Official time of stoppage was 1:19 of round two.

Daniel Jacobs TKO2 Victor Llares... In the first fight of a disappointing pay-per-view undercard, Daniel Jacobs improved to 13-0 against Victor Lares (14-4). It was Jacob's twelfth fight of 2008.  The fight was stopped in the seconnd round after Jacobs landed 48 punches versus only seven for Lares. source for both results: hbo ppv
