The IBF announced that it will host a joint convention with the WBO, a first in boxing. An IBF e-mail stated, "The International Boxing Federation is proud to partner with the World Boxing Organization for the historic, first-ever unified convention from Dec 9th through 13th at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida."
