According to the WBA, the European boxing qualifier for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics was suspended last week by the International Olympic Committee after two days of competition. The American qualifier, which was supposed to be rescheduled in May, has also been suspended, the IOC explained in a statement. The IOC stated that the European tournament participants, from over 60 countries, should return home and carry out a quarantine. The plan is to evaluate the situation daily, aiming to complete the distribution of the remaining Tokyo spots in May and June.
