HBO vs. Showtime? Not again. Unfortunately, word is that Jermain Taylor will defend his undisputed middleweight championship against mandatory challenger Kelly Pavlik on HBO World Championship Boxing on September 29. Although that date is not etched in stone due to the lack of venue as this goes to print, sources close to the network inform us that September 29 is HBO's preference.  By now boxing fans should be well aware that Showtime plans on airing a special edition of Championship Boxing on September 29 featuring the WBC heavyweight title fight between champion Oleg Maskaev and Samuel Peter.
