Ricky Hatton and Juan Urango both made weight with a pound to spare (139) for Saturday night's junior welterweight world championship bout in Las Vegas. Hatton has none of the major belts but is the legitimate world champion at 140 pounds ever since then-champion Kostya Tszyu declined to come out for the twelfth round of their 2005 bout. Urango holds the IBF belt that Hatton vacated in 2006. Both co-feature fighters also made weight on their first try. Jose Luis Castillo, who notoriously failed to make 135 pounds last year against Diego Corrales, this time weighed 139 pounds, which was not a problems since he has now moved up to junior welterweight. Castillo will be facing Herman Ngoudju, who tipped the beam at 140 pounds.
