No surprise: Tommy Morrison reportedly faked HIV test results

According to the Arizona Republic, heavyweight Tommy Morrison recently tested positive for HIV, disproving Morrison's ridiculous claims that he either never had the virus in the first place or that it had disappeared. The report was based on statements from Randy Lang, a former agent for Morrison, who says the boxer also has hepatitis C.  Morrison tested positive for HIV 11 years ago and of course there is no cure for the blood-borne disease yet. However, Morrison was allowed a recent comeback fight in West Virginia when that state's lax commission reportedly accepted a faxed test result. The opponent who unknowingly was exposed to an increased risk was John Castle. Morrison-Castle was not aired on television, but a post-fight interview with Morrison showed redness under his eyes that possibly could have been blood. According to Morrison's former agent, Morrison and Arizona promoter Peter McKinn were responsible for the fraudulent test results that somehow passed muster in West Virginia. After that, Morrison was refused a license in Texas and the public was told that a doctor was late filing the paperwork. Tonight, Morrison is supposed to make his MMA debut on an Arizona native American reservation that requires no testing. In the Arizona Republic story, Morrison's fiance disparaged Lang but didn't directly deny the claim.
