According to reports from Central America, it looks like Ricardo Mayorga is clear of rape charges that have dogged him since last year.  The Nicaragua Supreme Court has cancelled a second trial that was scheduled to take place on Wednesday for Mayorga, who was accused of raping a young woman. Five of the six Supreme Court justices voted to grant Mayorga’s petition to halt the re-trial. Mayorga, 32, was accused last September of raping a 22-year old woman, though he was declared innocent of all charges in the initial trial. Earlier this year, the Managua Court of Appeals ordered a re-trial, but the Supreme Court ruling reversed that order.
