Partial Proceeds Going to Charity

Former WBO middleweight and WBC supermiddleweight champion Nigel Benn, 42-5 (35 KO’s), has decided to auction off his belts and donate part of the proceeds to charity.  Now a devout religious minister at the church of Majorca, Benn believes this will complete his transformation to a full time preacher.  “Me winning titles is not going to get me into heaven, knowing Jesus will.  I actually don't have one boxing item in my house anymore.” explained Benn.  At the very least, the boxing world can rejoice as this fighter is using his world titles to help the less fortunate, rather than the usual sale of belts to help stave off poverty of the actual fighter.
